C3 AFA Singapore Guest Profile: mili

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, C3 AFA Singapore 2018 is the biggest event for anime, cosplay, and anisong fans not just in South East Asia, but all over the world!

Head on over to the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre on 30th November to 2nd December 2018! Appearing for the first time in Singapore, it’s the amazing band mili!

Mili is an international indie music group made up of six talented individuals. Led by composer and guitarist Yamato Kasai, who has a classical music background, the group creates a diverse range of compositions.

Canadian vocalist momocashew, fluent in three languages, writes lyrics in multiple languages and captivates listeners with her angelic voice; The talented bassist Yukihito Mitomo and drummer Shoto Yoshida bring a strong foundation to Mili’s music with their diverse techniques. Meanwhile, stylist, designer, and art director Ame Yamaguchi, alongside illustrator and animator Ao Fujimori, craft the enchanting visual world of Mili.

Yamato Kasai and momocashew collaborate to create captivating, story-driven songs that resonate with fans worldwide. Mili has contributed several tracks to the globally renowned rhythm game Deemo, quickly establishing themselves as one of the most popular artists featured in the game.

Mili has made a global impact, with their fanbase growing rapidly and surpassing 100,000 YouTube subscribers—a remarkable achievement for an indie artist.

Mili’s debut album, Mag Mell, and their second album, Miracle Milk, both reached #1 on the Oricon Indies Chart. Their first mini-album, Hue, was released on May 24, 2017. That same summer, Mili took the stage at Japan’s largest music festival, SUMMER SONIC 2017, marking a major milestone with even more exciting performances to follow.
