[ANIME] Character designs for Kazuma Kamachi’s Heavy Object anime previewed

Another light novel by renowned light novel (A Certain Magixal Index) and manga (A Certain Scientific Railgun) writer, Kazuma Kamachi is getting an anime adaptation, and it will be one of his most popular titles, Heavy Object. And now, the anime adaptation gets a new 4-page spread in a magazine and it features the anime’s character designs:

The character designs reveal two of Heavy Object’s main characters, Milinda Brantini and Quenser Barbotage. Quenser Barbotage will be voiced by none other than Natsuki Hanae, who previously voiced Inaho Kaizuka in Aldnoah.Zero, while the female lead, Milinda Brantini, will be voiced by Eri Suzuki, who has previously voiced the ghost, Sanae, in Invaders of the Rokujouma?!. They will be joined by Kaito Ishikawa (Haikyuu’s Tobio Kageyama) as the close friend of Quenser, Heivia Winchell, and Shizuka Itou (A Certain Magical Index’s Kaori Kanzaki) as Froleytia Capistranoy.

Just like A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun, Hevay Object will be animated by J.C. Staff, with Shakugan no Shana director, Takashi Watanabe at the helm as the director. Macross Frontier writer, Hiroyuki Yoshino, will be in-charge of the series composition while Tokyo Ravens character designer, Atsuko Watanabe, will be in-charge of the character designs.

The anime will be set in the near future where war is still prevalent however, it is being fought has been changed drastically by mechanical units called Objects. One day, mechanic-in-training, Quenser Barbotage, finds one of these Objects, along with its pilot, Milinda Brantini, and thus, their adventure begins
