Utada Hikaru’s comeback album, Fantome, is currently raking in a lot of success. However, the legendary Japanese songstress has revealed that she is changing labels.
According to her own blog post, Hikki is leaving Universal Music Japan, and is heading to Epic Records Japan. Her transfer will start as soon as her contract with Universal ends in March. She also noted that is is actually her first time changing labels as an artiste. She originally signed with EMI Music Japan, but Universal absorbed it, therefore she is now signed with the media giant.

In her blog, she also revealed that she’s planning to release new work for later this year. However, she didn’t reveal much information, but it’s really something to look forward to for her fans.
