Anime and visual novel writer and composer, Jun Maeda, is known for making people cry with works like Angel Beats!, Clannad, and Kanon. The legendary writer and composer actually made fans worry about him when he was hospitalized for a heart condition last February. However, according to several reports, he has now recovered.
In a tweet, Maeda revealed that he has idiopathic dilated carsiomyopathy (unexplained enlargement and weakening of the heart’s left ventricle), and added that:

This illness has taken various pleasures away from me, but I’ll face forward and keep on living and doing my best. It’s a miracle I was saved.
Also known as a composer of anime songs, Jun Maeda also wrote several well-known anime and visual novels. His most notable works include KEY’s Kanon, Air, Clannad, and Little Busters!, and he was also the creator for Angel Beats! and Charlotte. He also supervised the musical production for other Key visual novels, as well as their respective anime adaptations.
