  • Life-size Unicorn Gundam statue to turn gold for new interactive lights show

The life-size Unicorn Gundam statue in front of Diver City Tokyo in Odaiba is quite known for its lights shows. And now, it seems that they’re leveling up that into a more interactive one, with the fans actually getting to dictate how the light show goes. With the push of a button, a fan may choose what color the Gundam will have, and this includes a very golden glow!

Each effect lasts approximately for one minute, and everyone gets a turn. The lights show will also be promoting the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative (NT) film, which will feature the golden unit-03 of the Unicorn series, the Phenex.

This will be the latest lights show for the life-size Unicorn Gundam since it replaced the classic RX-78-2 Gundam statue. They will run it from 23 November 2018 until 31 December 2019. As for the Gundam NT film, it will premiere in japanese cinemas on 30th November.
