  • Fellow seiyuu say their goodbyes to the late great Unshou Ishizuka

    Unshou Ishizuka has touched many lives with his voice acting work in many popular anime. Among his most notable include Professor Oak in Pokemon, Mr. Satan in Drafon Ball, and Cowboy Bebop’s Jet Black, as well as Joseph Joestar in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Unfortunately, his passing has left a huge hole in the anime industry. Meanwhile, friends and family held a large public memorial for the late seiyuu last 2nd October. Fans attended it, along with many of his friends in the seiyuu industry. Among them are Joji Nakata, Tohru Furuya, and Ryotaro Okiayu, who all tweeted their farewells.

    Actor Kappei Yamaguchi and seiyuu Naoko Matsui also attended the funeral services as well.

    Ishizuka passed away due to Esophageal cancer at the age of 68. May he rest in peace.
