  • “B-Project” New CD ‘KING of CASTE’ Reveals New Key Visuals and Release Date

Along with the announcement of season 2 for the anime series, and as part of hyping up the waiting time from now leading up to January 2019 when the anime broadcast starts, cross-media series “B-PROJECT” has just announced the release of a new music and drama CD album involving all 14 virtual idols under the project’s management – entitled ‘KING of CASTE’.

The new ‘KING of CASTE’ CD will feature an all-new set of key visual jacket covers (pictured above) and characters visuals by illustrator and mangaka Utako Yukihiro; and the album’s official release date for sales has been announced to be on 14 November 2018.

The pretext and back-story for the ‘KING of CASTE’ CD project is based on territorial rivalry between the two boyband-gangs of two high schools based in the ‘Shibuya West Side’ – the Houoh Academy High School, with members made up of B-PROJECT’s ‘Kitakore’ and ‘MooNs’ units; and the Shishido High School, with its members made up from units ‘THRIVE’ and ‘Killer King’. And since this is a virtual idol project, the boys ‘fight’ it out with their music, instead of exchanging actual blows.

There will be two versions of cover jacket designs for the CD – the Houoh Academy High School version; and the Shishido High School version. They will retail at JPY 3,400 each, with their respective novelty details as follows:

    1. Houoh Academy High School trading student’s pass – random one out of seven members’ designs + the embedded serial code required for fans who would like to ballot for tickets to the solo-live that ‘THRIVE’ will be holding
    2. Shishido High School trading student’s pass – random one out of seven members’ designs + the embedded serial code required for fans who would like to ballot for tickets to the solo-live that ‘THRIVE’ will be holding.
