Utada Hikaru is one of the most influential Japanese artistes in history. Her career has spanned close to 20 years, and she has had over a dozen Oricon #1 singles and six #1 albums. After an extended hiatus, she made her official return in 2016 with the album “Fantôme”.

“Penguin Highway” tells the story of 4th grader Aoyama-kun, a smart and observant little boy who writes down everything that he discovers in his notebooks. He gets on with a young lady he calls his “Onee-san”, who works at the dental clinic.

Aoyama-kun is shocked one day when he encounters a penguin in the middle of his suburban town. The sudden appearance of the penguins seems to be related with his “Onee-san”, so he tries to unravel the mystery behind the penguins.
