As part of their 20th anniversary, Japanese music show MUSIC ON! TV (aka M-ON!) will be airing a special behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of Hikaru Utada‘s upcoming album “Hatsukoi” (First Love), according to @Press. “Hatsukoi” will be Hikaru Utada’s seventh studio album, and is slated for release on 27th June 2018.
The “M-ON! 20th Anniversary × Hikaru Utada 『Hatsukoi』 MUSIC VIDEO DOCUMENT” will likewise air on the 27th of June 2018 at 22:30 JST, with repeats on 1st July and 11th July 2018. To sweeten the deal even more of Hikaru Utada fans, the channel will also be airing recordings of her previous concert tours from 4th to 10th June, as well as a special 10-hour marathon on 1st July 2018.
Hikaru Utada is a much beloved Japanese singer-songwriter, who at the young age of 16 became Japan’s highest selling artiste of all time, when her debut album “First Love” (not to be confused with “Hatsukoi”) sold 10 million units worldwide. She is best known to anime and game fans for her collaborations with global hit franchises Evangelion and Kingdom Hearts.
