You were recently in Portugal. How did you find those experiences?

I was so surprised to be asked to come to Portugal! But when I actually visited, I felt that all of the event staff really love anime and Japanese culture. I was so happy we could enjoy the concert together. The food was delicious, and the buildings and the city-scape was so beautiful — it’s really a lovely country!

How did you feel when you heard your voice on the radio for the first time?

My debut single “ideal white” was the opening theme of the TV anime “Fate/stay night”, and the TV anime’s commercial came out on the day we were shooting the music video of “ideal white”. When we finished shooting, I watched it with all the staff members. I was really moved! I was so happy to share it with so many people.

Which of your songs do you think represents you best as an artiste?

Of course, my debut single “ideal white”, and also my fourth single “Lotus Pain” — the ending theme of the TV anime “D.Gray-man HALLOW”. I have always loved these tracks, and I have always looked forward to the day when I could compose something llike them. It was my first time to write the complete lyrics, and I have put all my love in making this very important track.

You wrote the lyrics to some of your songs. Talk us through the process of creating a song.

I think a lot about messages I want to convey in my songs, and I tend to think about characters and images until I get confused. However, once you have settled on a theme, it’s fun to start expanding it with words and illustrations. So I have written lyrics to a few songs, I hope everyone gives them a listen!

Please leave a message for your fans.

This is my third performance in Singapore! I hope to have a rocking good time with all the fans in Singapore! Let’s all scream and shout, and throw our hands in the air, and have the time of our lives!
