The new visual features the horror master’s signature art-style, which many fans describe as disturbingly creepy. The website also confirms that the anime will premiere sometime in winter 2017. Studio DEEN will be handling the animation, while Diabolik Lovers director and Junji Ito fan, Shinobu Tagashira, is directing it.

Tagashira admitted that she’s a long-time fan of Ito’s works. She also added that directing the series is a “Dream come true”. As for the horror master himself, Ito says he’s very happy that his work is getting an anime adaptation. He added that as a child, he dreamed of having his works get an anime adaptation.

As the title suggests, the series will be a collection of Ito’s various horror works. Sorry cat fans, this might not include Junji Ito’s Cat Diary.
