Musawo’s romance manga, Love and Lies (Kimi to Uso), is getting its very own anime adaptation. Now, the anime’s official twitter page has revealed a brand new PV for the upcoming TV anime. This new PV doesn’t just introduce the characters, but also the anime’s main cast.
According to the video, the anime will premiere this summer, on 3rd July to be exact. The main love triangle for the anime includes:
- Ryota Ohsaka as Yukari Nejima
- Kana Hanazawa as Misaki Takasaki
- Yui Makino as Ririna Sanada
Meanwhile, the anime’s official twitter page, @anime_koiuso, also revealed the anime’s new visual. It also features the love triangle of Yukari, Misaki, and Ririna.
The MangaBox app officially distributes the source manga by Musano in English, Here’s how they describe the story:
In the near future, when young people in Japan turn sixteen, they are assigned a marriage partner by the government. People don’t have to go through the trouble of looking for someone, and everyone accepts that the country will find a compatible partner to make them happy. Yukari Nejima is fifteen years old. He lives in a small corner of the country, and just can’t seem to get ahead in life. Both academically and athletically he’s below average. But in within him, he hides a heart burning with passion! In this world in which love is forbidden, what will happen to him when he falls in love?
Now that certainly makes things a lot more complicated. But the again, anime fans will be dividing themselves up into teams again, much like Nisekoi. The anime premieres next season, and certainly comes in as one of summer’s dark horses.
