• Japanese Companies Celebrate April Fools' [Part 2]

    We have more hilarious April Fools jokes created by the Japanese otaku and anime companies. If you missed our first post, you can check it out here.

    First up is a special collaboration featuring this season’s Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu and upcoming new season’s Sakamoto desu ga?. The official website for Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu announced that the series will be renamed to Kikuhiko desu ga?, while the official website for Sakamoto desu ga? announced that the series would be renamed to Shouwa Genroku Sakamoto Shinjuu.


    In the continued spirit of crossovers, the official website for Kiznaiver unveiled a key visual in the style of Uchuu Patrol Luluco


    On the other side, the official website for Space Patrol Luluco unveiled a key visual in the style of Kiznaiver.


    Both these works are for the upcoming Spring 2016, and are both animated by Trigger.

    The official website for Digimon Adventure tri. announced that the third installment of the movie series would instead be titled Sukamon Adventure tri.:Nisemono, featuring a poster with the virus-type Digimon Sukamon and Etemon.


    The real poster for the upcoming Digimon Adventure tri.: Kokuhaku was unveiled the day after.


    The official website for Hanayamata announced that Machi Tokiwa has become a yosakoi idol.


    The official website for Mayoiga announced that Ika Musume would be joining the cast of the series.


    Mayoiga is an anime for the upcoming Spring 2016, whose director was also behind Shinryaku! Ika Musume.

    Lastly, an official website for Otonokizaka High School, the setting for Love Live! School Idol Project, was opened.
