  • [ANIME] New Bungou Stray Dogs TV anime takes over Ikebukuro Station

    The TV anime adaptation of Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa’s bestselling mystery manga, Bungou Stray Dogs, is one of the most anticipated new anime this spring 2016 season. To help promote the anime, 2-Metre tall ads can be seen littering Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo.

    These ads can be found in the ad columns inside Ikebukuro station’s Central Passage, and it not only features the new anime’s characters like Osamu Dazai, Atsushi Nakajima, Doppo Kunikida, Rampo Edogawa, Junichiro Tanizaki and many more, but also the anime’s main visual.

    The ads were set up last 11 April, and will only be seen at the Ikebukuro Station Central Passage only until 17 April. Meanwhile, the anime’s first episode was aired last 6 April in Japan.

    The Bungou Stray Dogs manga follows Atsushi Nakajima, an orphan boy who was kicked out of his orphanage. While trying to find a place to stay, he saves a man who tried committing suicide. His name is Osamu Dazai, and he is part of a detective agency which specializes in supernatural powers, and he is hunting a tiger which has escaped and has wreaked havoc on the city, and it turns out that the tiger is also chasing Atsushi.
