  • [ANIME] Gintama (2015) and World Trigger TV anime adaptations ending runs this month

Two anime adaptations of Weekly Shonen Jump! manga will be ending their year-long runs later this month, and they are Gintama (2015) and World Trigger.

No word on whether the Gintama anime will be coming back for a new run. However, the news comes as mangaka Hideaki Sorachi announced that the original Gintama manga will be entering its final arc later this year.

Meanwhile, another Shonen Jump anime is ending this month, and that would be World Trigger, which made its premiere back in October 2014. The anime is aired during the 6:30 am programming bloc, however, TV Asahi has announced that the anime bloc will be replaced with a sports program. World Trigger will be the final anime in that programming bloc.

The anime adaptation is currently in an original anime story arc/ filler arc called the Fugitive Arc, and the anime’s main story has now caught up to the manga’s story. With the anime’s story still having many questions left unanswered, many fans are hoping for a new run to continue the story in the future.
