The Catbus from Studio Ghibli’s classic anime film, My Neighbor Totoro, is one of the most iconic vehicles/ creatures in Japanese animation. A new Catbus figure will be released to the public very soon, and it boasts some pretty fine detailing. However, what makes it more special is that it will be completely made out of paper.
This official Studio Ghibli papercraft is worth 7,492 yen and is now available for a limited time until 28 November 2015. However, like most papercraft figures, this one needs a bit of assembly as it comes with a large number of lasercut pieces on different coloured cards.
However, when you do complete it, it looks simply adorable as it fits right in the palm of your hand. When completed, this great work of paper art will measure in at approximately 5.5cm wide, 13.6cm long, and 6.7cm high.
And yes, it really is completely made out of paper, though it would be nice if it could come with figures of Mei and Satsuki as well, Totoro too.
