The spin-off to legendary mangaka, Osamu Tezuka’s classic manga, Young Black Jack, titled Young Black Jack, will be following the legendary anime surgeon as a young medical student. New announcements about it have just been revealed, including its new key visual image:
A new PV for the anime has also been revealed, and it previews the anime’s opening theme song “I Am Just Feeling Alive” by UMI☆KUUN.
The legendary Black Jack himself, Kuroo Hazama, will be played by up and coming seiyuu, Yuichiro Umehara, who previously voiced En Yufuin in Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!, as well as Hayato Kujo in Aquarion Logos.
The other cast members include Koji Yusa (Yowamushi Pedal’s Akira Midousuji and Hakuoki’s Sanosuke Harada), who will play Yabu, and Shizuka Itou (Hayate the Combat Butler!’s Hinagiku Katsura and A Certain series’ Kaori Kanzaki) will play Okamoto. Finally, the anime will be narrated by veteran seiyuu, Akio Ohtsuka, the original voice behind Black Jack.
Tezuka Productions will unsurprisingly be adapting this spin-off anime, with Saikano’s Mitsuko Kase directing the project.
