If you thought that the “Terminator” Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Japan’s highly popular video game and anime franchise, Yo-Kai Watch do not mix, you might want to think again. For the upcoming Japanese premiere of Terminator: Genisys, the Governator will be meeting with his cybernetic Yo-Kai Watch counterpart, Robo-Nyan.
This unlikely combination will be meeting each other for the very first time during the Japanese premiere, and as it turns out, the CEO of the company which develops Yo-Kai Watch, Akihiro Hino, is a huge fan of the T-800! In fact, Robo-Nyan is a nod to the T-800 himself as it also comes from the future and also has the catchphrase “I’ll Be Back”.
And as for Robo-Nyan himself, it seems like he’s an Arnie fanboy as well and even said that he is very excited to meet “his hero” and added that he would try to negotiate and get himself a role for one of his movies. He then added a message to Schwarzenegger and said “See you at the Red Carpet! I’LL BE BACK!”
Terminator Genisys will be making its premiere in Japan on 6 July in a limited number of theaters before getting its wide release on 10 July.
