Being a mangaka is hard, and just getting serialized is even harder, as shown in the new trailer for the live-action movie adaptation of Death note mangakas, Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata’s beloved manga about making mangas.
Bakuman, will be making its Japanese premiere this 3 October 2015, and will star Takeru Satoh (Rurouni Kenshin’s Kenshin Himura) as Moritaka Mashiro and Ryunosuke Kamiki (Rurouni Kenshin’s Soujirou Seta) as Akito Takagi. The video also reveals the Shueisha building, which was revealed in our previous article. The Shueisha building is where the headquarters of Weekly Shounen Jump! magazine is located.
The movie will premiere on 3 October 2015 and will also star Shouta Sometani (Parasyte) as rival mangaka, Eiji Nizuma, and Nana Komatsu (not the main character of Nana) as Mashiro’s love interest, Miho Azuki.
