A leaked magazine scan from the upcoming 20th issue of this year’s Weekly Shounen Jump! magazine has revealed that Son Goku will be adding a new form to his already long list of form. It is another version of his Super Saiyan God (SSG) form which was first introduced during the Battle of Gods movie.
This new SSG form will be featured Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F (Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F) movie which will premiere in Japan this 18 April 2015. The magazine scan reveals that this new form is called the “Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan” (Super Saiyan God SS) form, and Goku enters this new form to combat Frieza’s new golden form.
The Super Saiyan God form gives Goku pinkish hair but he still retains his non-Super Saiyan “default” hair. However, this new Super Saiyan God SS form shows him sporting his usual Super Saiyan hair, only this time, it’s blue!
The scan also reveals that this new Super Saiyan God SS form will be featured in the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden game for the Nintendo 3DS. An early access demo of the game will be available to those who redeem the code from the June 2015 issue of V Jump magazine or see Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F in theaters. The game will be released in Japan on 11 June 2015.
Dragon Ball manga creator Akira Toriyama himself wrote the concept for Drafon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F, which is set after the events of the previous movie, Battle of Gods. The movie follows the Z Fighters once again as they battle a resurrected Frieza, who came back thanks to his two surviving minions being able to gather the Dragon balls. While the word Fukkatsu means “Resurrection” in Japanese, the “F” in the movie’s title means Frieza.
