The upcoming fall anime “Nanatsu no Taizai” or “Seven Deadly Sins” have recently included seiyuu and singer Tatsuhisa Suzuki in its cast lineup. Besides voicing notable roles such as Makoto Tachibana in Free!, he is also the vocalist for OLDCODEX.
He plays Ban, a sinner who holds the Sin of Greed. He joins the rest of the cast, which included Yuuki Kaji (Eren in Shingeki no Kyojin) who is playing the titular role of Meliodas and Sora Amamiya (Asseylum Vers Allusia in Aldnoah.Zero) who plays Princess Elizabeth.
Adapted from a manga with the same title, it tells the tale of Meliodas and his merry band of warriors, known as the “Seven Deadly Sins”. They were accused by the Holy Knight, the king’s trusted guards, for plotting to overthrow the kingdom of Britannia. This group of exiled warriors were eventually disbanded and went on their separate ways. When the Holy Knight finally revealed their true colours, Princess Elizabeth, one of the king’s daughters, sought help from these once notable warriors. They would then band together again to free the kingdom of Britannia from the clutches of the Holy Knight.
Written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki, this manga series has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Magazine since 2012.
The anime will be premiering on 05 Oct 2014. FLOW x GRANRODEO will perform the ending theme, while Ikimono-gakari will perform the opening theme for this series.
