  • Meet Hikari Okada, a seiyuu who’s still in 1st grade!

The fantasy anime with a really long title, “What do you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us?” (SukaSuka) has now premiered. But did you know that the anime also serves as the debut anime for one Hikari Okada? And did you know that young Hikari is still studying as a 1st grade elementary school student?

The grade schooler won the”Main Character Child Voice Actor Auditions” last February to get the role of Elk. Kadokawa then introduced her to the public as the voice of SukaSuka’s Elk during AnimeJapan 2017. She appears in SukaSuka alongside Azusa Tadokoro, who voices the character Chtholly-Nota-Seniorious. She also stars alongside Akane Kohinata, who voices Almita in SukaSuka. During SukaSuka’s stage presentation, her two costars praised her and said that she’s really “kawaii”.

The young seiyuu did admit that post-recording was a little bit hard, but she also said it was fun! And it seems that her older costars had fun with her too! You can catch young Hikari Okada as Elk in “What do you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us?” (SukaSuka), which now airs in Japan.
