Two of Sega’s classic video game titles are celebrating their respective silver anniversaries (25th anniversary) this year, and they are Sonic the Hedgehog and the puzzle game Puyo Puyo. To commemorate the occasion, the gaming company has teamed up with the Keikyu Airport line for special 25th anniversary trains featuring characters from the two franchises.
These 25th anniversary trains include Sonic and Puyo Puyo’s Carbuncle. Tails and Knuckles, as well as those blobs from Puyo Puyo will also have their own train.
But that’s not all, as Ootorii station, which is the nearest station to Sega’s original main office, will have signs decorated with Sonic and Puyo Puyo.
Sega is also offering prizes to Twitter users who share their snapshots of the train along with the hashtag #京急セガトレインキャンペーン (“Keikyu Sega Train Campaign”). More details about that twitter contest will be revealed soon, as the Sega trains go on service from 14 November – 17 December 2016.
