    Makoto Shinkai’s latest anime film, your name., has been a runaway success, and as it seems, people are now excited for his next work. During the 21st Busan International Film Festival in South Korea, the popular anime director made an appearance together with some of the film’s voice cast, and there, he revealed his plans for his next film.


    Makoto Shinkai stated that he plans to make another movie about teenagers, both boys and girls, and he plans to make one within the next three years over at TOHO. He did not give much details about his plans, but it sure has many fans talking.

    Over the span of 39 days, the film has earned 13,020,003,500 yen on 10,025,897 tickets sold. It is also currently Japan’s #1 film for 2016, toppling Godzilla: Resurgence along the way.
