• Gen Urobuchi puppet show, Thunderbolt Fantasy, is getting a sequel

    It seems like we’re getting more puppet shows from Urobutcher, as the Gen Urobuchi fantasy puppet show, Thunderbolt Fantasy, is getting itself a sequel. The news was revealed by an announcement on the program’s 13th and final episode. Here is a new teaser visual for the second season:


    The infamous “Urobutcher”, Gen Urobuchi (Madoka Magica, Psycho-Pass), known as one of the most in-demand and popular anime writers in Japan today. He has been credited with the original work for the puppet show, and is also the one who wrote the script. He is infamous for his often despair-inducing stories and killing off popular characters in the most violent ways possible.

    Thunderbolt Fantasy is a co-production between Nitroplus, Good Smile Company, and Taiwanese puppet production company, PILI Multimedia Inc., which produced the series.
