• Studio Trigger announces that Little Witch Academia will be getting a TV Anime

    After catching everyone’s hearts back in 2013, and its sequel last year, Studio Trigger’s critically-acclaimed animated short film, Little Witch Academia, is finally getting its own TV anime. The news was announced by Trigger president, Masahiko Otsuka, along with the anime’s own twitter page.

    According to Otsuka, the TV anime’s episodes will be 30-minutes long, and the man responsible for Little Witch Academia himself, Yoh Yoshinari, will be coming back at the helm of the project as the director. Otsuka also promised that they are diving head on for the project.


    Little Witch Academia made its debut during the 2013 edition of the Anime Mirai. It became an instant hit, and because of its popularity, many people wanted a sequel. Thanks to a crowdfunding project on Kickstarter, Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade is now made possible as the movie reached its US$15,000 goal is just 6 hours. The sequel made its premiere last 3 July in Los Angeles, California during the Anime Expo event.
