  • Conan Edogawa and Kaito Kid are taking their rivalry to a whole new level for the latest Detective Conan movie, Detective Conan: Gouka no Himawari (literally means Sunflowers of Inferno). This new movie will also feature a new theme song written specifically for the movie, and it is said to go well with the Conan-Kid rivalry.

The new theme song is titled “Rival” and it is truly a fitting song as the movie would focus on the rivalry between two of the most iconic characters in the Case Closed! franchise. The song will be performed by Japanese rock band, Porno Graffitti, who will be releasing the song as a single this 15 April, three days before the movie’s 18 April premiere.

The single will come bundled with stickers featuring the duo as well as Conan Edogawa and Kaito Kid.

The rock duo commented that they are thrilled to be performing the movie’s theme song and said that the story, themes, and characters of Detective Conan are very charming.

Detective Conan: Gouka no Himawari will premiere this 18 April 2015 and will be based on the Case Closed! manga series by Gousho Aoyama.
