With One Punch Man now having an anime of its own, another long-awaited new anime adaptation announcement for yet another popular manga has finally been officially made as monster girl ecchi harem manga, Monster Musume, or Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou, finally gets its much deserved anime adaptation.
The announcement for the new anime was made in a wrap-around jacket which came with the manga’s volume 7. According to the announcement, the anime is slated to air this Summer 2015, premièring somewhere this July!
The popular monster girl manga is written and illustrated by Okayado and follows Kurusu Kimihito, who has been forced into a being a “volunteer” and is now living with a monster girl, a half-human, half-snake lamia known as Miia. Soon enough, more and more and more monster girls follow, like the Centaur named Centaurea and and a harpy named Papi.
Needless to say, the series is very popular not only in Japan, but in the United States as well, because the manga is often featured in the New York Times bestseller list, among favorites like Attack on Titan and One Piece. And for a manga still without an anime adaptation to do so well outside of Japan, that would be saying a lot.
